Extension - Universal multilingualism incl. translation
Description:
Communicate directly with your app users in different languages. Enable this feature, and all menu items—whether content modules, your mobile store, or more—as well as push notifications will be displayed in different languages and customized individually. Say goodbye to complicated menu structures. You can easily switch languages within the app. Translations are handled fully automatically and with high quality by the external service DeepL.
How it works:
Before you start, select a translation package that suits your needs. You’ll find an overview of the available packages in the settings section.
Depending on the selected languages, an automated translation will then take place, and the translated content will be cached in the app. When users access this content again, it is displayed quickly in the original language. As soon as content is changed in the admin panel, the respective changed sections are translated again.
Enable language selection by users - Enables the selection of available languages in the app and thus the translation.
Make the following languages available - Includes the selection of possible additional languages in the app. Simply enter the language name here. Upon confirmation, the language will be added if available. Languages can be removed using the "X" buttons displayed. Languages such as Arabic are currently not available due to the reversed writing direction.
Cross-language glossary:
Table of word combinations - Generally, the translation service attempts to categorize the content’s context thematically to ensure a high-quality translation without further intervention. This also applies to proper nouns. If a particular area does not fit, specific translation guidelines can be added via the glossary.
To do this, enter the word or phrase in the source language on the left and the appropriate and desired translation on the right. The language icon on the left naturally represents the target language. For example, the translation of the German term "Hengst" (source language) into English (see icon on the right) yields the term "Colt."
