Installing a Progressive Web App can be that easy

Many users typically turn to the Google Play Store or Apple App Store when installing an app. The common refrain is: "I have to download the app, and that can only be done through the stores."

Since there is a growing trend toward Progressive Web Apps, this approach is no longer necessary. Browsers now offer plenty of assistance for installing such apps. One problem, however, is that this varies greatly depending on the browser, device type, and operating system.

To make installation easier for your users in the future, we’ve compiled the many variations and developed a simplified process. This approach now provides tailored instructions for your apps based on the device being used and even allows users to install the app directly from there.

As soon as users open your app directly or find it via search engines, a relevant prompt is prominently displayed at the bottom of the screen.

In addition to the bottom prompt, a visible prompt appears in the upper area, for example, which allows direct installation via the "Install Now" button.

If direct installation is not possible, a tailored set of instructions is displayed instead.
