About security, hidden menu items, password protection, and photos from your phone

Ho ho ho, dear reader,

It comes around every year, yet it’s more important than ever. The upcoming holiday season brings us closer to our families and partners in our personal lives, while also giving us a chance to reflect on the past year in our professional lives.

What are your business goals for the new year? Where do you want to go? Tell us a little about it. Perhaps we can support you with future new product features!

In any case, our New Year’s resolution is to ensure that you can get more out of your app. To that end, we’ve set some priorities that will give you and your business more opportunities in the mobile space. We’re looking forward to it.

Read on to find out what we’ve already been able to achieve in recent weeks:

Forget about data security—your app now has it built in!

While the global internet offers a wide range of opportunities for business activities, it also unfortunately harbors risks that can negatively impact your business.

That’s reason enough for us to take action and provide you with tools to give you, your business, and your customers a little more security.

With this in mind, we have been enabling full encryption via SSL certificates on all apps we provide for the past few days.

Find out what this means for building trust and enhancing the credibility of your app inour blog article.

How to hide menu items and submenus

For everyone who only runs coupon promotions temporarily or needs other menu items sporadically and therefore repeatedly creates and deletes them, we have some news. Don’t delete them right away—simply hide them for as long as you want, as often as you like. In the settings section of the modules, you’ll find the “Hide” option in the bottom right corner. Good luck with hiding them.

In your company or club app, do you want to provide employees and members—in addition to your customers or prospects—with information and features that should be hidden from the general audience? That’s exactly how it should be. Move all the necessary menu items to a submenu and simply secure it with a password or a short PIN. There are many other combination options available here. Give it a try. But note: an Enterprise package is required for this.

Protected app areas for individual customers or employees? Yes, now it’s possible

Your forms now directly import photos from your phone.

What good is an accident report form if you can’t simply take photos directly from your phone and submit them within the app? We thought so too, and got right to work. Among the types of form fields, you can now select the “Select/Send Images” option, allowing you to include one or more images within the app. Also requires the Enterprise package.

Last but not least, a big thank you to you.

The entire AppConfector team would like to thank you once again, dear users, customers, and fans, for the trust you’ve placed in us and the diverse feedback you’ve provided this year.

We wish you every success in your business and mobile projects in the coming year. Stay healthy and keep your entrepreneurial spirit alive.
