Forms - Simple, flexible and interactive

Description:

Create appropriate forms for, e.g., registrations, inquiries, requests for quotes, etc. Define the necessary text, numbers, and selection fields, including an appropriate label. Specify which fields must contain required information and set a recipient email address.

Usage:

Introductory text (optional) — Use an introductory text to provide app users with a brief explanation of the form’s purpose. You can include formatted text, such as images.

Required Input and Selection Fields - A few lines are sufficient to define the necessary fields.

Define the fields in descending order. Starting with the field types explained below and the field label, define one field at a time.

Field Type Meaning and Use
Simple Input Single-line plain text or numbers.
Numbers Only Input of numbers only (e.g., quantity)

Select / Send Images Allow users to send images directly within the app and while filling out the form. Users can select one or, optionally, multiple images at the same time. Depending on the smartphone and environment, images can be taken with the camera and sent along with the form. (Requires a higher-tier app package)

Attach
documents
Allow users to attach documents of any type (e.g., PDF, Word, Excel, etc.) directly within the app and while filling out the form. Users can select one or, optionally, multiple documents at once. (Requires a higher-tier app package)
Drop-down menu Displays a list of multiple options. To define the options, simply list the available choices below the field label.
Email Address Only allows the entry of an email address. If an incorrect entry is made, a message appears within the app.

Phone Number Same as the "Number" field type, but with the special characters "+, (,), /, -"

Content Field Without Input No input field. Displays only the stored information. This can be used to separate a section and provide further explanation.

Password Corresponds to the “Text” field type. All entries are displayed within the app as asterisks (”).

Multi-line input Also corresponds to the “Text” field type. Allows for the entry of multi-line text. For example, for additional comments or special requests.

Date Picker Allows for convenient selection of a date.

Date and time Selects a date along with a time of day using an intuitive rotary dial.

Time Selects only the time of day.

Toggle Switch: Yes/No Corresponds to a switch that allows you to toggle between Yes and No—or, more precisely, on and off.

Menu Selection (Multiple) Similar to a conventional dropdown menu. This allows for multiple selections at the same time.

If necessary, you can mark relevant fields as required fields, thereby requiring an entry before the form is submitted.

Email(s) for Form Responses - Completed forms are sent to the email address(es) entered here. If this field is left blank, the form is sent to the centrally stored email address. You can also enter multiple recipient addresses separated by spaces.

Automatic Email Confirmation to Sender - Customers and prospects who successfully complete your form will receive a separate confirmation email after submission.

Delete completed forms after submission — To enhance the user experience, all entries are temporarily saved after a form is completed and submitted, so they do not need to be re-entered the next time. If you do not want this feature for a specific form, you can optionally disable it.

How to use this feature:

  1. Decide whether your form requires an additional explanation. Include this in the introductory text.
  2. Define the required fields and give them concise, short labels.
  3. If you want the completed forms to be sent to an email address other than your centrally stored one, enter an alternative address.
