Mobile Shop - Easy to sell online incl. PayPal and CSV catalog upload

Description:

The mobile store makes it easy for you to get started with online sales. Manage your available products with just a few clicks.

Customers and fans can add the items they want to their own shopping cart within your app. The order is sent to you via email by the fastest route.

Usage:

You’ll find information on managing the items you offer in a separate section below.

Required Information for Orders - Each order includes additional information, such as a name or email address. You can specify the label for this information in these fields. Before the order is processed, the user is prompted to fill in this field, and the information is transferred to the order confirmation.
As a restaurant owner who wants to offer food and drinks to guests via the app, you can enter the table number here to ensure the order is correctly assigned.

Additional Notes on Delivery and Ordering (Optional) - If the order requires additional information—such as a restriction on the delivery area or instructions for filling out the address fields—you can enter the relevant details here. Any type of formatting is possible, including the insertion of images. If content is entered here, it will be displayed between the payment method, the Terms and Conditions, the cancellation policy, and the address details.

Selection of Payment Methods - Using the fields listed here, you can enable or disable different payment and shipping options.

PayPal Merchant Address for Direct Payment - If you enter your PayPal address in this field, you’ll enable direct payment via PayPal within the app. This means that after the order process, you’ll receive an order confirmation, and your customer will be redirected directly to the PayPal payment screen. After successful payment, you will receive a confirmation from PayPal. You should wait until the payment has been fully received before shipping the order.

Email Receiving Address(es) – A summary of completed orders will be sent via email to the email address you have provided. You can specify a different address here. You can also enter multiple recipient addresses, separated by spaces.

Information on the Right of Withdrawal, Terms and Conditions, and Privacy Policy - Provide all legally required information regarding the ordering process. Within the app, this information can be displayed in the order form and in the shopping cart.

One-time shipping costs per order - Specify the shipping costs in the format x.xx. These are added to the total price and displayed.

Display Shopping Cart Total and Shipping Costs - When the shopping cart is opened and the order is placed, the total amount for all items, including shipping costs (if specified), is calculated and clearly displayed.

Currency – The currency is appended to all listed prices within the store. This saves you the hassle of entering the currency for each individual item.

Require Acceptance of Terms and Conditions Before Ordering - Depending on the items offered, it may be advisable to require buyers to explicitly confirm the Terms and Conditions before placing a binding order. Use this option to enable a separate prompt for confirmation and consent before the order is placed. When inactive, the toggle does not appear in the app’s order section.

Request Exclusion of the Right of Withdrawal Before Ordering – In the case of sales of, for example, digital content, software, or services, it may be necessary to exclude the locally applicable right of withdrawal. When this option is enabled, the user placing the order must grant the appropriate permission before completing the order.

Add a voluntary amount before completing the order (fundraising campaigns) [EXPERT FEATURE] – When enabled, this allows users to voluntarily add a self-determined amount before completing the order. The user is notified of this option before clicking the order button, including a message stating that they can do a good deed by doing so. This feature is ideal for fundraising campaigns.

Product catalog displays net prices instead of gross prices (e.g., total amount excluding VAT) [EXPERT FEATURE] - When selling products to other businesses, it is not necessary to include the tax that is normally included. After activation, the shopping cart will display “excl. VAT” instead of “incl. VAT” after the total price.

Management and Maintenance of Products or Categories:

The module’s configuration area provides a convenient way to manage your mobile store’s catalog. The catalog consists of top-level categories and the products beneath them. To ensure ease of use, nested categories are not supported.

You can manage the product categories using the toolbar below. Depending on whether an entry is selected, the corresponding buttons become active.

For example, if you deselect an entry, you can create new categories. By selecting a suitable category—which is displayed in bold and underlined—you can add related products. You can use the other buttons to make subsequent changes, such as to the price, description, or image.

Note! Any changes you make will appear immediately in your app.

When creating items, you’ll be prompted to fill in the fields shown. The “Item Number” field is optional and won’t be displayed in your app. When entering the price, use the format x.xx (e.g., 3.99). The currency symbol can be added after the price if desired.

You can assign a suitable image to each item and each category for display in the catalog. However, the images must first be added to the media library associated with the app.

When displayed within the app and in the administration overview, the stored images appear in different sizes.

How to Use:

  1. Select the menu item in the app’s main menu to access the overview of all product categories. Customers can add items directly to their shopping cart from there.
  2. After selecting a category, the corresponding items are displayed. The display includes, among other things, the item image, the description, and the price.
  3. Clicking on an item takes you to the detailed view, which includes a complete description of the item. From there, items can be added to the shopping cart.
  4. On any page, you can go directly to your “Shopping Cart” by tapping the button with the same name in the upper-right corner.
  5. You can place your order directly using the form provided. To do so, simply fill out the required fields (see above) and click the “Place Order” button.
  6. You will then receive a confirmation message at the email address or mobile phone number you provided. This message includes the information entered in the designated field and a list of the ordered items, showing the item number or description.

Uploading Items via a File (CSV):

Items must be submitted in a semicolon-separated text file in CSV format. The first row must contain the column headers so that the data is correctly mapped. Below, you can find the meanings of the fields.

The downloadable sample files each contain a CSV and an Excel document with the data listed here. If you begin maintaining the items using the OpenOffice or LibreOffice document, you must also export the document in CSV format for import into the mobile store.
