Kick-off for widgets in the main menu

Depending on your goals, you can now also offer your users further information right on your app’s home screen. With so-called widgets you can show small, interactive bites of information prominently and give your main menu a richer design alongside the menu items, which can now be hidden if you prefer.

With the release of the new extension, the first two types of information can now be shown: the local weather and the current COVID-19 case numbers, based on official figures from the Robert Koch Institute.

To add it, simply open the extension under Modules and More and select it.

In the settings you can then create and combine the two types of widget as you like. Depending on your package, the feature may not be available or only in part.

Try it out and get feedback from your users. More interesting kinds of widgets will follow, such as news, content areas, advertising banners and more. If there is anything else you would like, just write to us by email or in the chat.
