🧊 GlassKit is here — a new design layer for modern customer apps
Over the past few months we have asked ourselves a question afresh: what should modern customer apps actually look like today? The answer is GlassKit — a new design layer that gives your app a modern, high-quality glass look in one click. Today we are making GlassKit available to all Premium customers.

Why a new design layer?
Within seconds, the look of an app decides whether it comes across as professional, trustworthy and up to date. In recent years, what people expect from mobile screens has clearly shifted — away from flat designs towards gentle depth, soft shadows and a calm, high-quality feel, known as glassmorphism.
GlassKit brings exactly this modern design language to every customer app that runs on our app builder. No code, no designer, no migration project. One click in the AppCenter is all it takes.
Light and Dark — you choose the character
GlassKit comes in two modes, both carefully tuned for readability, contrast and a consistent brand experience:
- GlassKit Light for a bright, friendly look — ideal for brands that want to convey openness and clarity.
- GlassKit Dark for an elegant, focused look — ideal for premium brands, restaurants that come alive in the evening, studios or consulting apps that want to leave a calm, concentrated impression.
In both modes, your own accent colour is carried over automatically into every GlassKit component — from buttons and badges to the bottom bar. You look after your brand colour in one place, and GlassKit applies it consistently.
Six background moods for every brand
Beyond the choice of Light or Dark, GlassKit offers six carefully composed background moods that give the whole app an atmosphere of its own:
- Aurora — soft northern lights, ideal as an all-round default
- Ocean — cool blue for clarity and trust
- Sunset — warm orange and rosé for food, drink and lifestyle
- Forest — natural green for sustainability and calm
- Rose — soft pink for beauty, wellness and lifestyle
- Mono — neutral grey for maximum restraint
Each mood adapts naturally to your accent colour — the same brand colour looks different on Aurora than on Mono, without you having to adjust anything.
Optimised for modern devices
GlassKit responds intelligently to the notch and the Dynamic Island of modern iPhones and uses the full screen without hiding important content behind the sensor area. The bottom navigation comes in three styles: a classic full-width bar, an elegant floating bar or a compact app dock — whichever suits the character of your app best.
How to switch on GlassKit for your app
If you have a Premium package, GlassKit is already available to you at no extra cost. In the AppCenter under Design you will find two new theme buttons (GlassKit Light and GlassKit Dark). Choose one of the two, pick one of the six background moods — and your new look is live. No new release of your app, no waiting for your users.

GlassKit is not just a theme in our app builder but also a standalone open-source project by Jungherz GmbH. The CSS library behind it is developed in the open and can be viewed and tried out on the project page.
